Improving Your Home?
You may need to get permits from Missouri City before commencing the work. Many of the home improvement projects being undertaken in Brightwater need city permitting. Either the homeowner or his contractor must get the permit in advance of starting the project. The following are some of the types of projects that require permitting:
Ø Any Concrete work (patio, sidewalk, driveway, decks, pads, etc.) Ø Installation of Pools and Spas Ø Installation of or major changes to Irrigation Systems Ø Room Additions Ø Roofing (re-roofing) Ø Windows (replacing or adding windows) Ø Out Buildings Ø Patio Covers and Gazebos
All of the projects shown above also require approval by the Brightwater Architectural Control Committee.
So save yourself time and frustration: | Submit your plans to the ACC for provisional approval by using the form found on the www.LakesofBrightwater.com web site. Print out a copy, fill it out and mail it along with all supporting plans and documents to Crest Management (address is on the form). | | The ACC will review the documents and issue a provisional approval. | | Along with the provisional approval, take your plans (or having your contractor take them) to the Missouri City Planning Department to have them reviewed for necessary permits. The MC Planning Dept is located at 1522 Texas Parkway. Their phone number is 281-403-8600. | | Once you have the necessary permits, provide a copy of the permits to the ACC (via Crest Mgt) and your plans (with permits) will be given a final review for approval. | | After receiving final approval, you may start the physical work on your project. |
Note: Any Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical (AC) projects also require MC permits | |
