The Brightwater Garden Club has been a part of the subdivision’s social activities since 1985. The mission of the club is to help residents grow their gardening skills with the help of local gardening experts and fellow club members.
The club meets September through April (no meeting in December) on the 4th Monday evening of the month. The meetings are held in the Clubhouse and begin with refreshments at 6:40 p.m., followed by the monthly speaker from
6:50 – 7:50 p.m.
Membership dues are $25 per year which includes an exclusive members-only garden tour and end-of-the-year dinner, plus a discount card that can be applied at a variety of local nurseries and garden supply stores.
Monthly speakers present a wide variety of topics of interest to those who are just beginning their gardening adventures to more seasoned gardeners. All residents and guests are warmly invited to attend and enjoy the friendship and learning opportunities the club provides.
In addition to monthly meetings and periodic field trips, the Garden Club is responsible for selecting the Yard of the Month and for judging the Holiday Decorating Competition, the results of which are posted in the Brightwater “Beacon” newsletter and here.
